Palota in the era of the Anjou and the Hunyadi kings (14th-15th Century)
The first concrete reference in writing is a private letter from 1409 and mentions several names relating to Palota. The letter was written in "Zenhel". In which name we can discover the name Szélhely, one of the lanes in Várpalota today.
