Lutheran elementary school
The first "school house" was built in 1703. In 1763 the old wattle and daub walled school house was rebuilt in stone. György Hrabovszky lutheran minister played an outstanding role in the educational history of Várpalota. He founded an orphanage that started to operate in 1749. The multi-storey school was built in 1845 that is a part of Várkerti Általános Iskola today. In 1940 the congregation completely rebuilt the building.
