The "Várpalota and region Regional Development Self-government Association" was established with its headquarters at 39 Gárdonyi G. street Várpalota on the basis of an agreement 17th June 1996. The common goal of the six settlements (Várpalota, Berhida, Ősi, Öskü, Pétfürdő, Tés) participating in the association is to increase cooperation, exploit possibilities of development, decrease unemployment. To this end they organize timely economic meetings on a regional and international level.
