COAL-MINING
In 1876 count Antal Sztáray found coal by accident while digging a well in the yard of the ex-cloister to the left of the roman catholic church and the gate leading to the Kastélydomb (Castle Hill).
The National Inspectorate of Mines permitted mining with its decision of 17th September 1886.
