Tés: architectural relics |
Architectural, industrial history relics
Before 1164 Benedictine monks lived in Tés. The first church was built before 1276. The central part of the present cathilic church was rebuilt in 1725.
Protestants had a congregation and prayer-house in 1622. Construction of the lutheran church began in 1785.
The Helt and Ozi type six vaned windmills are rarities of industrial history and can only be found here in the country.
Near the mills in one of the yards of Táncsics street one can visit a blacksmith's shop that preserves memories of craftsmen, coopers, blacksmiths and farriers in Tés.
