The Várpalota subregion is composed of six settlements - Várpalota, Pétfürdő, Öskü, Ősi, Berhida and Tés in the East of Veszprém County. It is a contrast of the beauties of the Bakony and the Sárrét that complement each other?s natural landscapes: highlands, plains, hills interchange on a relatively small area. The Balaton can be reached by bus in a quarter of an hour. The history of the settlements goes back to Roman times or even earlier. Numerous architectural rarities, historical and industrial monuments can be found in the subregion. All the settlements offer events and local entertainment. Most of them are suitable for village tourism.
