3 separate hunting territories have been formed in the vicinity of Várpalota. Two of these are run in the form of hunting societies and one remained in state management. There is significant red deer, fallow deer and boar, but mouflon and roe deer can also be found. Sporadically hare, pheasant and rarely partridge occur.
