Higher elementary boys' and girls' school
In 1926 the higher elementary school was opened in the building of the ex-County Hall under the name Magyar Királyi Állami Polgári Fiú- és Leányiskola (Hungarian Royal State Higher Elementary Boys' and Girls' School). Owing to the lack of state funding the school ceased to operate under this name, but two years later was revived as Nyilvánosjogú Magánpolgári Iskola (Public Right Private Higher Elementary School, and operated until 1947.
