 Inotai Hőerőmű (Inota Power Station)
The Inota Power Station was built for lignite from Várpalota. An electric power plant was already working in Várpalota in 1903. Construction of the November 7. Hőerőmű (7th November Power Station) started in March 1950 and was switched onto the national network in December 1951.
From 1985-98 the Power Station furnished Várpalota with thermal energy.
In 1998 the town built an independent gas thermal station.
