The formation and development of industry in the 18th-19th Century
Palota market town had a strong craftsmen layer in the 18th-19th Century, that grew with the population of the town. Lime kilning and carpentry were early to evolve. Bootmakers, fullers, weavers and toolmakers were abundant. Brick burning and pottery also settled. In this era the layer of fullers, tailors and potters was decisive just as mining was at the end.
