As a result of changes in high politics our settlement came to the forefront of industrial development: in 1951 the "7th November Power Station" was constructed based on lignite found here, the Inota Aluminium Furnace, the Geological Research and Drilling Company, mining developed on together with the plants connected to it. The number of flats and public institutions rapidly increased. In 1951 the settlement was again given the rank of town.
