Anonymus |
Anonymus, in his historical work Gesta Hungarorum [Acts of the Hungarians], mentions chieftains Őse and Ösöbü who prepared to capture Veszprém and first set camp in Pákozdon, then in "the field of Peytu", that is Pétfürdő as we call it today. Anonymus' work proves that "the field of Peytu" was a familiar notion in the 12th-13th Century.
